Druhé aktualizované vydání, faktická řešení všech obvyklých problémů v klinické praxi, kterým každodenně čelí profesionálové pečující o umírající děti s nejrůznějšími diagnózami a jejich rodiny.
Autor knihy je britský pediatr a paliatr s mnohaletou zkušeností s péčí o umírající děti na celém světě včetně rozvojových zemí. Druhé vydání publikace je doplněno o tři nové kapitoly, MUDr. Lucie Hrdličkové a MUDr. Zuzany Staníčkové, které jsou zaměřené na specifika perinatální paliativní péče, nemocniční paliativní péče a plánování péče.
Kniha nabízí praktická řešení všech obvyklých problémů v poskytování dětské paliativní péče, kterým čelí profesionálové pečující o umírající děti a jejich rodiny v každodenní klinické praxi, věnuje se i komunikaci závažných zpráv, pomoci rodinám v těžkých situacích, podpoře při řešení etických a spirituálních otázek a možnostem podpory truchlících rodičů.
